The remedy for all that ails you
Teckell masterpieces are found in sophisticated spaces around the globe, including here in Italy, where INTERVALLO is a centerpiece at Remedy Milano. The warm, elevated interiors of this bar were inspired by the private clubs of England, but with an Italian twist thanks to the vision of founders Michele Bernardi, Alessandro Michelon and Amedeo Pagano.
Like Teckell’s philosophy, here understatement and luxury go hand-in-hand, with a focus on excellence and the human experience, expressed via materials and tactile encounters. The choice of INTERVALLO is thus no surprise: a coffee table that doubles as a foosball table, a statement piece crafted in crystal-clear tempered glass, Canaletto walnut wood and chrome detailing. A remarkable object to gather around, to connect and savor life’s remedies.
An interview with Michele Bernardi –founder and co-owner of Remedy Milano–, where INTERVALLO is a centerpiece of this exclusive wine bar.
What makes Remedy Milano unique?
Remedy is the place to be for those who love wine, spirits and fine cigars. A place to relax, to take a break from hectic city life, to enjoy a nice glass of wine, liquor or a cigar in an elegant setting inspired by the sophisticated clubs of England. A wine list with over 6,000 labels and a selection of over 2,000 spirits set the tone at this locale, where beverages reign supreme.
We first encountered the Teckell table at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. It was love at first sight. It struck us as being a unique design piece, perfectly aligned with the style of our bar. I’d almost say it’s the focal point of the room: it immediately grabs people’s attention and adds a touch of class and modernity, a dash of the unexpected.
When our customers sit down and realize they have a coffee table that’s also a foosball table in front of them, they’re always pleasantly surprised. They can’t wait to take a few shots at the goal. That way, the moment in which they enjoy a drink also becomes a chance to play, underscoring the concept of relaxation and of a “remedy for stress” (hence the name of the bar), which we want our clients to experience as soon as they walk in.
Design for fun.
